A small fabrication company based in Houghton county, MI, the owner approached NCIM with a solid product concept.  His passion for big water fishing gave him expertise on what the market wants, but wasn't sure how to make functional or a cost effective way to manufacture it.  Over a few pots of coffee in collaborative discussion and a couple of prototypes for a swivel base later, Superior Fishing Products  now offers the best rattle free double, triple, and quad pole holders on the market.  North Coast Imagineering and Manufacture provided Superior Fishing Products with the detail drawings and CAD models for the parts that they now make themselves!  NCIM will always strive to provide the best possible customer service possible.

A producer of specialty, high quality welding rod, Champion Welding Alloys contacted NCIM looking for some remanufacturing work on key pieces of their extrusion process.  Small repair jobs led to the design and build of a custom stainless steel flux mixer.  The owner, being knowledgeable in the design and function of the extrusion head where the flux is added to the welding rod but, was not as experienced in design for manufacture or detailing work, NCIM collaborated with CWA with design coaching to make his design manufacturable and preserving / improving functionality. CWA did the CAD modeling work, NCIM did the detailing print work and manufactured the parts.

A young company that is growing at a phenomenal rate, Orbion Space Technology has exquisite needs for exotic materials machined to challenging feature sizes for use in their world-leading small-scale hall-effect propulsion systems for satellites orbiting in space.   North Coast Imagineering and Manufacture has become their local go-to source for rapid prototyping and prototype modification for design change testing.  Materials from simple aluminum, alloy steels, nickel alloys, plastics, machinable and full hard ceramics, NCIM finds a way to get it done.  When the CTO commented "you're not going to like this one" , the reply was "this looks sexy!"

The ability to run lathe and milling operations in the same setup saves time, improves accuracy.  With our Multus B200II-BBW mill-turn, we can often make complete parts from raw stock in a single setup.

The owner of Auto-Pro Glass and Tire had an idea for a specialized tool in his mind for years but could not find an outfit interested in developing it  In a chance meeting, he asked if NCIM had the ability to design and build a custom tire bead sealant applicator that would work with available battery powered caulking guns. Two design iterations later, his tire technicians are now saving time, bead sealant, and mess by using battery powered, adjustable flow controlled sealant guns for even, uniform bead sealant application that do not require consumable applicator tips and is now perusing a patent!
